yesterday I went to Huddesfield to see the postcards stitched by members of all the guild branches in the UK. What an amazing site, hundreds of them, each branch had been given a country to represent, so many different techniques used. The young embroiderers also had contributed quite a selection. If you live near a venue , the exhibition is on tour and will I presume end up at the games you must have a look. I will post a couple of the 42 photos took, I think I managed to get a photo of every panel there.

Permalink Reply by Margaret on June 24, 2012 at 2:28 You are in luck Lydia, it is going to be at the Crypt in St Martin`s in the Field from 2nd august to 22 september. I was wrong in thinking it would be at the olympics, if you go in the Embroiderers Guild site and click on whats on it gives you all the places it will be at between now and the end of the tour.

I drooled over the sumptious creations and lost track of time(my poor husband was asleep in the car by the time I came out!)
