I read that some of you like to swap book pages.

We can write some guidelines in regards to size, theme, when and how to do it and how many pages we want to swap.

I would prefer to swap 10x10 inch (25x25 cm) pages.

What do you think about building a group of 8 to 10. Or do you think a monthly swap where new members can join would be better?

I am sorry I am being tardy in relplying to emails lately.

My mother in law has had a stroke and we are all worrying, of course.

I need to put my husbands need first at this time, but I will still keep on with the swap, so don't worry about that.

Frances asked me to post this picture of the page I sent her last month.

That's very  beautyful!

Thank you Vicki, I love this image and was delighted to receive it.  My two cats also appreciate being part of my stitching world.  What is the technique you used to get such a soft, realistic fur?  Kind regards Frances

I used Needle felting with wool roving. I only used one needle, so I could have more accuracy

most of the rest is free motion.

Thanks Vicki I wondered if it was needle felting.  It is very effective and I think the softer edges make it look very realistic.  Have you done other embellishing using the same process? Regards Frances.

Hi Vicki,

I'm really sorry to hear your M-I-L isn't well and of course, you must put the need of your family to the front of your priority list. I  wish you all the best at this stressful time.

I posted your page last Monday (14th) but forgot to tell you......that wasn't very clever of me, was it? I hope you like it, I really had a good time making it.

Kind thoughts,

Teresa

I'm glad you received my page Vicki and I hope all is well with your family. The page was great fun to do, I enjoyed all those fibres and bits & pieces. Embroidery is no longer just threads is it? It's amazing what can be done with other textures on the market.....such as fancy wool and threads not normally associated with embroidery.
great fun to do and think how to use.......

Teresa, I posted your page last week and I also recieved a gogeous page from Frances. Beautiful sik paper and skeleton leaves, Thankyou.  Things are not the best at the moment, will post a pic when feeling better.

Hi Helen,
