Hi all I thought I would start this group and see if people were interested in joining. If you are here leave a message to introduce your self. Tell us what your fiber interests are too
I will also test the image function and leave some eye candy
Hello everyone! It's good to see so many friends, and friends-to-be here. I dabble in all sorts of fiber art. I am slowly learning to Free Motion Embroider and have an embellisher which I enjoy playing with too. I love handsewing and embellishing with beads but I have a long way to go and hope to keep learning through my friendships round the internet. Oh Yes, I too am doing the TIF challenge (and enjoying the pause for thought it gives me!) and I'm starting Sharon's Journalling course in June. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up with this group too! :o)
wow sharon this looks really great!!!!! I think I'm going to find a lot of people I know here and also get to meet some new ones. Thanks for creating this place to hang out when I really should be stitching.... um I mean cooking and cleaning.
Anyone else out there in Japan????? (but I am from most recently Washington state...)
Hello, everyone........My name is Lyn Gaskill. I have been Crazy Quilting for about 4 or 5 years now. I am a mother of three and work in the medical profession.
I was introduced to quilting by my great-grandmother when I was 8yo. I made the mistake of saying "I'm board" to her. She handed me some of her pineapple quilt that she was piecing(that was by hand) and told me that I wouldent be board any more. I have been hooked ever since on quilting.
My grandmother taught me how to embroider about that same time so it was only the next logic step to CQ!
Greetings Everyone. Thanks to Cathy for inviting me. I'm Betty Pillsbury and am a textile artist and instructor and herbalist. I live in the Catskill Mountains of New York State. I've been embroidering since I was 8 years old. I love crazy quilting and every form of needlework.
Hi all, Thank you Sharon that you made stitchin fingers ¨. i am Jeanne , from Switzerland . I learned stitching as a child and I always did handembroidery and knitting, crochetting, sewing for the kids. But I discovered quilting 15 years ago, first sane quiting and in 2001 Crazy Quilting when I bought the Piecemaker's calender, Times and Seasons; then I was hooked ! I am a slow quilter , therefore not very much produced. As I hate machines, I do everything by hand, just time consuming ! ! I am especially interested in how people from the whole world are stitching, the history of it and its diversity. I see Stitchin fingers as a alliance of people from every corner of the world , an alliance from peace and friendship...and fun !
Hi Everyone. My name is Cath. I sort of invited myself and am absolutely overwhelmed by everyone's talent and experience. I'm interested in hand embroidery and have been slowly working my way through the TAST challenge...I did start last year, it's just taken me a while. I'm teaching myself with the help of Sharon's challenges and other resources on the web...as well as lots and lots of books! I also knit and draw and get distracted with other crafty things way too often. I live on the central coast in NSW.
Hi I'm Leslie from Malawi the warm heart of Africa, soon to be moving to the UK.
Last year while looking for inspiration I happend upon Sharon's stitches blog little did I know what I was in for......there is so much talent here in cyberspace that I am truly spoilt for choice.
I am well and truly hooked on all things fibre! In between I am trying to rekindle my drawing skills, I know they are there I just need to practice.
Many thanks Sharon for the invitation, it is great to see so many people out there willing to share their art and knowledge.
Hi Sharon and all you fellow stitchers,
I am Helina in Finland, been a quilter for 20 years and got to crazy three years ago! I love stitching, using different kind of threads, beads, lace and fabric and do some sane quilting, too. I have learned needle tatting for my CQ. The sharing and friendship on the on-line list has been a lovely bonus for me as I don't know many CQers here in Finland!
Nice to be here, I went through TAST and enjoyed and learned a lot,

Hello All,
I am Gerry (aka Sewing Southpaw). I enjoy sewing (of all kinds) and making dolls (cloth mostly). I've been sane quilting for about 10 years, and crazy quilting and embroidering for about 2 1/2 years now. I'm a mom, wife and homemaker, and I'm owned by my furbaby, Fritz. I'm on the downside of my 40's and loving every minute of it!
I'm very happy to see many of you here from other groups and activities. I look forward to sharing ideas, techniques, conversation with you, as well as making new friends.
Hi,
I am Wilma from the Netherlands. I am a "sane"quilter for over 15 years and stepped into the world of crazy quilting some 2 years ago. I love to work with (Dutch) traditional fabrics and am very interested in the history of quiltmaking and fabrics. Because I have a busy workingschedule and just moved to a new home, my time for stitching is very limited but I hope to do some stitching soon again and would love to make more steps into the fiber art direction. Good to see some old friends over here and love to make some new "fiber friends"!
