Hello Everyone, My name is Judy and I live in Western Michigan. Thanks to several of my friends who invited me to join you all. Sharon this is such a great idea. In the last year I have went from working full tme to part time which has given much more precious time to stitch and explore new fun things. I have been quilting for about 14 years and CQ for about a year. I have been doing embroidery for many many years. This past year I have started a blog, started making clay faces, and beading which I truly love. I have just attempted tatting which is going slowly. I look forward to exploring everyone Page.

HI, I am Ivana from Czech Republic. I love knitting, patchwork, embroidery, crocheting and lately I wish to try bobbin lace. I am typical multiprojecter and I have problems with finishing my projects.
I love internet, too, because it allows me to "meet" with similar souls and to see what they do. It is big insiration for me.

hello- glennis here, aka Shiborigirl at wordpress or glennisd on flickr.
of course i had to join- i don't want to miss ANYTHING!
as opposed to many of you here, my main work is not stitching-at least not in the way most of you work. i say i,m not a stitcher, but then why have i spent so much time stitching lately? my stitches mostly are invisible, done using clear, fine polymide and are not used as surface embellishment but rather as a tool for sculpting my silk shibori into shapes for jewelry and beyond.
i'm currently in love with fine wire.
i live and work in Long Beach California

Thank you, Pat Winter, for inviting me! I've been a thread and fabric lover since I was 10 and started making doll clothes - then my own clothes with the usual botched non-matching plaids and non-5/8" seams while learning! I'm a fabric designer for Clothworks and have co-authored a quilting book with my daughter Holly Knott. I used to own a needlework shop. Now, besides my art licensing, I quilt, crazy quilt, embroider, collect fabrics, shop hop, share the interest with Holly and all the nice people I meet in quilt shops and Quilt Market. I'm looking forward to sharing here. Again, thank you Pat, and, Sharon.
PS: I'm free-motion challenged! ;-)

Hi Sharon,
I was invited by Maureen Bond. I signed up, because she is a friend. I'm very happy to be part of a group created by you, as I'm addict to your beautiful work.
To introduce myself, I would say that I love embroidery, especially crazy quilting. I started to be embroidery teacher this year and started a little business making kits.
I'm very sorry not to have much time for the web life.

Hi, I'm an amateur hobby crafter particularly interested in textile arts. I've been retired here in UK for many years and spend happy hours crafting, browsing websites and blogs and taking inspiration from so many talented artists I come upon. It's lovely to join this group.

Hi,

Just wanted to say hello...and intro myself. Quilter, knitter, beader, embellisher - the list just goes on and on...but you all know what I mean!

My friend, Pat Winter sent me in this direction - as she knows I am always wanting to learn more about the creative arts that I so love.

I've done fabric postcards, some crazy quilting, embroidery, and lots of regular quilting and knitting. I want to learn how to knit with beads!!! And, do more crazy quilting and embroidery....

It will be fun sharing and learning and getting to know you all...

Hallo ~ and Hallo Again to Sharon - I enjoyed a 'Personal Library of Stitches' course with you a while back.

I'm jaihn. I'm originally Scottish, currently in London, UK. I enjoy many forms of creativity.

Here is what I wrote for my profile just now:

"....Interested in ?" .... Hand stitching, mostly; creating unique 'things' and pictures.
Mixed media stitchings, a little hand-weaving, embroidery, construction, decoration.
Soulful, playful, expression and exploration.

I 'll aim to bring my online documentation of my stitchings and makings a little more up to date soon, spurred on by this exciting project.

Thanks Sharon for actualising this great connective creative impulse of yours. Looking forward to contributing, enjoying, and learning with y'all.

xxx
