Hi all I thought I would start this group and see if people were interested in joining. If you are here leave a message to introduce your self. Tell us what your fiber interests are too
I will also test the image function and leave some eye candy
Hello Sharon,
My name is Thelma Bradshaw and my love is embroidery and CQ. I also love dyeing my own fabrics. Been a sane quilter for over 8 years, but fell in love with CQ. I see so many familiar names and very glad to be a part of this group.
Hi everyone,
I am Cinzia and I live in Australia. My main interest is patchwork, hand piecing in particular, but I have found that stitcheries are a lovely way to spend a few hours and the finished product is a lot quicker in the arrival than most of my patchwork projects.
I am amazed at the variety and talent of many embroiderers and plan at some stage to learn to do more than those basic stitches which are used on primitive style wall hangings.
Somewhere I saw an amazing scarf like sampler .... could have been yours Sharon but I have lost where I found it. Anyway it impressed me so much that I even went out and bought some osnaburg with the intention of making something similar ... sometime ... soon I hope.
Hi everyone. My name is Karrin Hurd, and I live in Roseville, California which is in Northern California.
I have been sewing since I was 13, and embroidering almost as long. I am a sane quilter, a crazy quilter, am interested in cloth and porcelain dolls. I love primitive stitcheries, and in addition, if I ever had any time, I would love to get back into watercolor painting again. I have an embroidery machine that I like to embellish things for my grandchildren on. I also enjoy crocheting and knitting, and also have 2 knitting machines, which I haven't used in awhile. Anyway, great to be a part of this group, and thanks for thinking of it Sharon!
Mary Corbet here, from the middle of the US. I'm a teacher by profession - 15 years now - and I embroider ... any chance I get! I'm particularly keen on surface embroidery, thread painting techniques, goldwork, and historical and ecclesiastical embroidery.
Right now, I'm in the throes of preparing children's embroidery classes for this summer and tying up the academic year.
I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone else is up to!
I am Leslie from Colorado! I've been stitching since I was 5 or 6. My passions are crazy quilting and more crazy quilting! I also adore embroidery!
I am wrapping up rr projects and have just begun a large task of getting a quilt made to donate to Making Memories to be auctioned for breast cancer. Soooo very many wonderful folks have stepped up to the plate to help me with this task! It has been wonderful!
Hello to all,
I am Simona and I live in Italy. I am in love with crazy quilting since many years now but I am quilting since '98.
I am working on different cq projects for my house, the TIF challenge and some RR.
I could see some familiar names so I could say that I am home!
Ciao
Simona
Hi everyone. I'm from South East Queensland, Australia. I have a few interests crochet, Crazy quilting, doll and bear making but most of all, love what I call free-hand embroidery. To me, that's just embroidering directly onto a blank 'canvas'. Would dearly love to embroider like Annemieke Mien. Just love her work.
Sharon, I've loaded a few pics. Please let me know If there's too many and I'll delete some.
My work has kept me busy lately, but will soon have a little more time to stitch. For the latest pics of our local Fibrearts exhibition, check out my blog - East Lynne Cottage
Hi everyone! It sounds like a wonderful group and I can't wait to get acquainted with everyone (some of you renew the connection! :) )
I do all sorts of fiber art from crazy quilting to a fiber art piece that I designed with graffitti as the subject matter! :) I'm the current president of the Rocky Mountain Crazy quilters in Colorado.
I am sort of a geeky blogger and also write articles for divinecaroline.com. Most of my articles there are about crazy quilting, stitching or other life events (as is my blog).
Anyway, glad to be here....seems like a fun group! Thanks Sharon!
