Hi all I thought I would start this group and see if people were interested in joining. If you are here leave a message to introduce your self. Tell us what your fiber interests are too

I will also test the image function and leave some eye candy

Hi Jo. I saw your work for the first time recently and am so impressed. Happy to see you here, too. Enjoyed your blog!

Hello everyone. Thanks for the invitation Sharon, and hi to all the "familiar faces" from Sharon's TAST Challenge and TIF Challenge. I'm in Sydney Australia, home of the 2000 Olympic games. I consider myself a costume maker who embroiders, does patchwork and miniatures (sometimes) and tries to make needle lace (rarely). I'm doing the TIF challenge and loving it, and I belong to several Yahoo groups for stitching as well. I'm currently swapping ATC's in one group of patchworkers, and doing a counted thread band round robin (WISPish) with another group. Looking forward to exchanging ideas and information with other textile enthusiasts.

Thanks for setting up this group, Sharon. What a great resource!

I live on a grain farm in central Illinois, USA.

My first fiber interest is designing and sewing clothing. Luckily that can include just about every other fiber art too... :D

HI, I'm Candi and I've been CQ'ing for about a year and a half now. I've done traditional quilting off and on for about 42 years. (More off then on! lol) I'm the mother of three and the grandmother of two, who are both teens so we're in the "non-person" category for the next few years. :) I've crocheted most of my life, but have been so busy with CQ'ing it's pretty much taken a back seat to everything else.

Non-person--ah, but then they go off to college and want contact, develop adult interests, start to remember good times with Gram when they were little kids, want their significant others to meet Gram, and then they want to show off their babies! It's wonderful having grown-up grandchildren--especially in the age of e-mail.

I'm Susan Elliott. I am a Japanese Embroidery student finishing up Phase IX and heading to graduation in 2009. I love crazy quilting and I'm working on finishing a tea-themed piece. I love all forms of needlework and dabble in most. Stumpwork and goldwork make me swoon and I love to create my own designs and play. I love embellishment and embroidery, especially on wearable items. And I am a professional stash-builder. Oh yeah, and I'm taking Sharon's Visual Journal course through Joggles this July. After I graduate Japanese Embroidery, I am going to study bobbin lace so I can make pieces to use in my crazy quilts.

Hi Susan,
Japanese Embroidery? I'm impressed. It is so beautiful and so difficult at the same time!
I'll meet you in the Visual Journal course this July. Can't wait to start this one:-)
See you soon

I want to be a professional stash-builder too! Where does one go for that particular certificate? ;- )

I'll be in the visual journal class too.

If you find out where to get the stash building certificate, let me know! I could use the money from doing it professionally, to pay for the after hours hobby.
