Hello,

are there people around who would like to join in a group where we try to finish our Work in slow progress, UFOs and so on ?

I just had a look in my (big) box with unfinished things and thought that it is really necessary to get some of these projects done.
The first thing I did was making a list of all those things in my box with a description of the project and the steps that are still open. Then I was thinking how to motivate myself and found that this was not so easy since there are always so many new things I would like to try. Then I thought that there must be more people like me and my next thought was "stitching fingers".

So there I am asking you if you have the same "problem" ;-) and if we want to try do solve it together in a group where it is easier to motivate each other.

A suggestion - "UFO and WISP stitchin' fingers"... Straightaway I would know that this group is stitching ufo's and wisp and it is also coming under the stitchin' fingers umbrella so to speak...
If you are forming a group, count me in. As we all know, this topic surfaces with most stitchers.
Some of us in my regular stitching group have come up with names for various UFOs. Feel free to use these to classify yours:
F.U.F.O. Favourite UnFinished Object
C.U.F.O. Cute UnFinished Object
S.U.F.O. Small UnFinished Object
T.U.F.O. Traditional UnFinished Object
X.U.F.O. Xmas UnFinished Object
I.U.F.O. Intricate UnFinished Object
K.U.F.O. Kitted UnFinished Object
D.U.F.O. Distasteful UnFinished Object
N.U.F.O. New UnFinished Object
O.U.F.O. Old UnFinished Object
__.U.F.O________ UnFinished Object ( Fill in a new one here.)

Group motivation does help but I still have more than I would like in a variety of formats (embroidery and quilting).
yep and there is P.I.Gs Projects In Grocerybags
Not to mention under beds PUBs.
Also PiPs = Projects in Progress, and as I publish patterns this is also Patterns in Progress.
Then there are TIS = Tops in Storage
CAP = Currently Active Project
UFO = Unfinished Object or Unfound Object
WIP = Work In Progress
and finally, RC = Recently Completed
LOL LOL!!! Don't forget SINS - Stuff I'll Never Stitch.
OMG! I have some of all of the above! The expansion of the list is wonderful.
I thought i was the only one! Perhaps we need to visit the PUBS.
I think this one is the winner.
I think we need to collate all these together and put them in the stitching fingers notes area- I mean Classifying your UFOs and the fine nuances of what type of UFO it is, is REALLY VALUABLE info for the whole community (she says tongue in cheek)
love it !

Judy, your are the queen of UFO phrases! I love them. When I tossed them out I was hoping for a few new ones, but you have surpassed my wildest expectations. Gotta love it. Wait until my group sees it! I can barely wait until Thursday night. I am delighted you had fun with this. As for PUBS, don't I agree.

Now for the name of this group, what about UFOs Uncovered?

Meanwhile, I am pulling out a PIG to finish this week.
Trish
