Hello,

are there people around who would like to join in a group where we try to finish our Work in slow progress, UFOs and so on ?

I just had a look in my (big) box with unfinished things and thought that it is really necessary to get some of these projects done.
The first thing I did was making a list of all those things in my box with a description of the project and the steps that are still open. Then I was thinking how to motivate myself and found that this was not so easy since there are always so many new things I would like to try. Then I thought that there must be more people like me and my next thought was "stitching fingers".

So there I am asking you if you have the same "problem" ;-) and if we want to try do solve it together in a group where it is easier to motivate each other.

LOL- It seems there are as many ways to describe UFOs as there are UFOs themselves - it makes me feel a little better as I don't think I have a UFO's to fit every description... I like Trish's suggestion 'UFOs Uncovered' or a cheeky play on Uncovered - DIScovered.... Our local stitching group is going to have an Exhibition at the end of the year based on UFOs -the challenge offered in January was to pull out one (or more) of the our forgotten treasures and finish it for the exhibition... It will be interesting to see what is on offer at the end... Perhaps I can 'borrow' all the suggestions here and the group can use it as a way of explaining UFOs... Now have I are PIG of a PUB or MUFOs?????
Sharon, you can certainly borrow any of mine for whatever use. I can't speak for the others. In my group, we just thought naming the UFOs was good fun and, obviously, the possibiities are endless.
I like both UFOs Uncovered and UFOs Discovered.
Judging by the repsonses here we will be both motivated and amused as we make room in the cupboards for more new projects.
Please share mine with your group, and maybe we will get some new ones from them!
Again using Trish's UFO UNCovered I played around with the words and came up with UFOs RE Discovered or UFO's RECovered...
As Ellie started this discusion perhaps she could make a choice of the name and start the group.
I will definitely join, to keep me on track, as I am trying to finish more projects than I start each year. This usually means some frantic finishing in the kead up to Christmas!
I agree with Judy. What do you think Ellie? Do you have a name you prefer? I can go with any one you choose.

On another note, I am just back from my stitching group. Oh my, did they do some laughing at all the new UFO names. Thanks to all.
So glad your stitching group got a laugh as I certainly did.
Hi everybody

I'm rolling on the floor laughing with all the funny name you came up with. Trish I agree Judy B is certainly the queen of UFO phrases. Thanks to everybody for your ideas !!!!

Just imagine how creative we can be with our UFOs if we are already so creative in finding a name for our group !!!

I think that it would be good if we would go for a name that doesn't need too much explanation (on the other hand some of these UFO phrases are just toooo good). I find Trish's idea very appealing so I would go for

UFOs Uncovered
Go for it Ellie. Glad you like the idea.
I created our "UFOs uncovered" Group and started a discussion on how we want to handle it.

Please leave your comments there.

Can you tell that I really want to get started on this ? I have this pumpkin project (I started about 3 or 4 years ago) in mind and I would love to finish it in time for Halloween (this year) ;-)))))
Good choice!!!! Now we have a name - let the UFO's begin....
I think the problem is that they have already begun.......
but so has the group to help fix that.
