Click on the "get code" at the bottom right of any page. There are several sizes to choose from. Pick which one you want and click the copy code button. Then go to your blog set up page and follow directions according to your site. You'll be pasting the code that you copied into a box usually. On blogger.com, you go to layout and add a page element. Click on add a page element. Choose HTML/Java script which is adding a third party functionality. Click on add to blog. Then you can add a title and paste the script that you copied from here into the box. If this doesn't make sense to you, let me know and I'll try to be more specific.
Thanks for the detailed instructions, Ruth. I suppose with Word Press I may have to add the badge as a Widget. Maybe I'll get around to trying it. Thanks.
Great instructions Ruth - do you want to put them up in the notes as a note? I am sure we will have this question often and it's a great step by step description
Twice today I have tried to send a broadcast message about this as both messages on my blog and emails are asking about the badges but the broadcast message don't really seem to work today
- I could not get the badge to work on my Wordpress blog and they are too wide for many blogs. I have looked in the administrators help files but cant find anything- and still looking
If any one finds out how to embed them OK let me and everyone else know!
Also I have done my back in making the bed this morning so my head may not be thinking right ...
I got the message twice, so I think the messages worked pretty well on the receiving end.
Although this doesn't have to do with the badges, the other topic you mentioned was uploading photos. Besides using Flickr, for folks who host their own websites, they can use regular html to place pictures on their pages, without taking up any of this site's bandwidth or space. Just a thought, for those who have their own server space!
I tried to add the badge on my blog (worldpress). It doesn't work. It seem that they do not accept a badge with a flash code which is the case.
In fact they have a list of badges. Maybe if the badge is submitted to this list, it will be accepted.
Would you like me to submit it or would you prefer to do it?
