Hello all, some of you may remember in 2006 that SharonB posted 100 details in 100 days where she chose a seam treatment/motif from one of her pieces and posted it for 100 days. It was one of those inspired ideas that grew into something much larger and better.

At the time Allison Aller was working on her Crazy for Flowers Quilt and mentioned that she was going to stitch along. Many of us joined Allison in stitching along as well.

I participated but only made it to day 35. During those 35 days, I completed a tremendous amount of stitching in that time and look upon the memory with fondness and longing.

I have two CQ projects which I would like to complete and I would like to re-visit Sharon's 100 details in 100 days. I believe this will provide me with the structure I'm needing to complete my work. I'm wondering if anyone is interested?

Here's the proposal (subject to modification, of course)...

Beginning June 1, I'll post the link back to Sharon's post of the daily "Details" starting with Day 1 and we'll continue along every day for 100 days. If you participate, you will stitch a variation of Sharon's treatment on your own piece and post your progress here or on your blog. If there is enough interest (meaning two of us??), we can create a group here and organize ourselves that way. I'm not quite sure how all the details will work on this site so we'll have to figure it out as we go...

Anyone interested??

Oh this sounds like alot of fun. I think it will help me to kick my Fall crazy quilt in the butt :) I would really like to finish it as my daughter wants a garden themed crazy quilt but I can't start that untill I get my Fall one done :) So count me in !

I might possibly be interested. I have a lot of projects that would benefit from this.

If I can get some of my ufo's out of the way I'd like to do this.

Susan, I would be interested in doing this with you as I missed the first time around. I am also doing her take a stitch tuesday for myself.

Oh, I love this idea - but, this would not be the time for me to do it...Rats! I need to start by getting some supplies - all I own right now is DMC embroidery thread...and in reading through I noticed all kinds of threads that I know not much about...

Plus I would need to get a block made up to put the stitches on - Right? Or would it work if I used it as a sampler? And do rows of the different stitches and details???

But, you sure have sparked my interest!!!!!

Hi Susan Obviously I would get a kick out seeing this and the interest level looks like you might need to start a group - do so as then it stays in one place and people can follow it easily - feel free and you never know if there is enough interest I might do another 100 days - but perhaps every second day if that makes sense! But lets see if there is enough wanting to stitch along first

Woohoo!!! Well, Sharon, if you decided to do this then we would have to be 200 days!!! which means my projects would definitely get finished!!! So, how could we make this work???

This does sound interesting. I did a few days, and then got sidetracked.

I'm going to retire August 1, hopefully there will be more time for stitching. Count me as a 'maybe'.

This sound tempting Susan as I find even though I did the TAST challenge I keep using the same stitches each time on my TIF Crazy blocks. My only problem is that I am signed up for 2 x 6week classes starting in June and with all the other Monthly things that I am doing it could become a sleepless nights and non eating period in my life( the second one could help my weight problem though).
But in saying that I am still interested.

That's the SPIRIT, Doreen. I like you already!!!!

"Gee, I really am stuffed, I shouldn't have eaten so much and I couldn't possible eat another bite....but.... I just can't pass up a piece of that chocolate pie!"

Live in the moment, Doreen, and welcome aboard!

As Sharon recommended, I think we've got ourselves a group so I took the liberty of setting one up. Go over to the group section and sign up. Then get your blocks sewn, your threads lined up and your mind in gear....Come June 1, we're ON!! for 100 days! (or maybe 200!!) We can always change the name, right Sharon?

Why not create a group for 100 Details (but not necessarily 100 days) and TAST for previous drop-outs to catch up and newcomers the opportunity to participate. In other words, there'd be no time constraints; it would be ongoing. At the end of this year TIFC could be added. And were Sharon so inclined, More Details.
