Permalink Reply by Sharon on April 29, 2012 at 21:09 Good Morning ladies...
First i need to apologize for not being on this site much ...
I have been ill. Nothing too bad but we have also been battling a very dry season here on our farm. so life has taken my spare time away. With very little grass for the animals and no rain we have had to hand feed all the stock, a very time consuming task. It's strange to see most of Australia having rain and a good season while our little bit is dry....such is life....
NOTE: - Judy Edmonds is NOT doing the swap anymore? she ran out of time....
I hope you are all happy and getting on well If you have any issues...please email me
regards Sharon

I hope you are feeling better Annette and that it rains for you soon Sharon. It has sarted to rain out West so hopefully it will move east soon. Linda I was wondering where you source the small clear envelopes you send your cards in they are just the right size, would you mind letting me know? I have learn't so much during this swap it is the first one I have been involved in which is not with people I know. I apologise for not being swap specific on the back of my ATC's I only included my name and contact details....nothing about the stitchin fingers birthday swap. Nor did I really personalise the ATC's apart from considering the bio's I loved receiving mine specifically referring to me and my birthday on the ATC I will incorporate this into my designs now. Isn't it lovely how you can always learn something new...
best wishes everyone

Permalink Reply by Tahlia on May 7, 2012 at 14:04 I apologize for being so quiet lately, and for being a little late with a couple of the birthday ATCs! My family has been in a bit of a tizzy since just after Easter when my one remaining grandmother (age 98) fell and broke her hip. She had surgery for repair, but then caught a bout of pneumonia and is now recovering from that as well. It's been exhausting for all of us, and the time spent driving back and forth to see her, etc has chipped away at my social time, internet time, and stitching time!
Anyway, Judith's, Eileen's, and Linda's ATCs are all in the mail and should reach their destinations before too long!
(( Susan, I would send you an ATC, too, but somehow I ended up not having your postal address! I don't know why I don't have it, but I have looked everywhere and I just don't have it anywhere. I tried sending a private note to you and to Sharon a while back but I don't seem to have received a response. ...and then things got busy. If you want to send me your address somehow, I'd be glad to send you an ATC! ))
It is really wonderful to see photos of all the wonderful ATCs people have been sending! My goodness what a talented group we have here!
Permalink Reply by Algecira Castro on May 7, 2012 at 18:01 Sharon, estou sentindo sua ausência, Espero que tenha um ótimo restabelecimento, e que fique boa logo.
I have to admit that I don't remember the name of the place where I got the small clear envelopes for the ATCs. I know that I looked at a lot a stores here in Wi and MN but found nothing so turned to the internet and Googled Artist Trading Cards and on several of them there were materials such as the clear envelopes and the cards themselves, ready to decorate. My best advice, dig around and see what you can find! Good luck!!!!!
Linda

Thank you for the lovely Birthday ATC's.
I would like to share photos with you.Ellen from Singapore was my first ATC.
A Celtic Butterfly in tatting. I have tried tatting but found it very labour intensive.
I was really pleased to have such a beautiful example and some very useful extras.
Thank you Ellen
