As this is the first time I have had time to come on the site since Iposted this message, probably best not!  But I shall enjoy seeing everyone else's when Ido have time to pop on briefly.

we would love to have you on board....a promotion sounds like busy stuff

do you want to see if you can catch up... I'm sure the girls wouldn't mind a late one ......

or do you think it will just be too hard to keep up???  you do have time to think about it....there isn't any rush

cheers Sharon

Susan and Jeanette - your birthday ATCs are in the mail. I had to post a little early as I have a big workload coming up and I didn't want you to be waiting.

Regards, Annette

Hi Annette

thanks in anticipation, I am getting really excited...Now I know there is one on the way I need to decide whether to save them for my birthday or not.

My ATC for Jennette and Susan will be in the post today. It may arrive slightly late for Jennette, my apologies.

BTW, has anyone hear from Donetta? Seems like she is not posting any message here nor has send her ATCs. Have Tahlia and Jennette received from her?

Regards, Ellen

I didn't receive an ATC from Donetta and she has not posted on this site for ages. I do hope that she is just busy and not seriously ill or something.

I will try an email to her and see how that goes....

I did not receive from Donetta either. Maybe she forgot?

Ok thanks Tahlia, I will see if I can contact Donetta

No worries Ellen!  I'll be delighted no matter what day in April your atc arrives & no, I haven't heard anything from Donetta.

Happy Birthday for Sunday, I am working a night shift here in Perth so I will think of you then by which time it should be early morning in Canada. Your ATC is on its way, have a lovely time with all your surprises.

Would it be possible for the May birthday girls to post their bios soon please, I enjoy knowing a little about the person....it gives me inspiration.

regards

Susan

I have always enjoyed, in fact, have needed to create things. And I love collections of lots various things. So, as I gradually started collecting fabrics, ribbons, buttons, 'stuff' , they gradually found a home on my crazy quilts and hand bound journals. I enjoy the contrast of the materials that I use – wools against silks against glass beads, lots of color, lots of texture, lots for the eye to see, lots of movement in the pieces.

Fabrics are used to create Art Quilts – crazy quilts of sorts, embellished with hand-dyed silk ribbon and cotton floss embroidery, glass beads, vintage buttons and metallic threads.

And fabrics (mostly wool and wool blends) are also used to create the covers for hand-bound journals which are latched with a vintage button. Each journal is embroidered with the button hole stitch and contains and little pocket. I love using papers and creating books of all kinds – tactual, beautiful and lovely to hold and I knit for a store in Door County, so these hands of mine are always busy!!!!

I taught K-8 Art in Menomonee Falls, WI, Evanston, IL, & La Grange Park,IL and loved every minute of it. Once retired we moved to Door County where I served for 8 years in many capacities on the board of the Hardy Gallery in Ephraim, WI, taught classes at the Clearing in Ellison Bay, WI, and at the Hardy Gallery and worked and exhibited at the Blue Dolphin Gallery. Now we live in Hudson, WI and are busy with new friends and lots of chances to be creative.
